Dash board flashes on the lower part for gearbox function
channal 125 shows that the gearlever is conected (1)
on live datta in the gearbox shows ER and shows that its in P when its in D , the car cant crank
to me it lookes like the gear lever electronics is faulty or megetronics is faulty causing this fault.

Any ideas please your help will be appreciated

2 FAULT CODES

00653 -selector lever /auto trans plausibility
004-No signal/communication

00194 - ignition key removal lock
008 - implausible signal- intermittent

Where are these faults stored ? Can you post a full vehicle scan ? are you using vcds?

go in to steering column module, check codes & see if they clear, then selector module & do the same. Check live data in both of these to see if correct lever position is read, especially P. This will point you in the right direction.

It does sound like selector module, maybe dirt in position sensors. When fixed you must clear fault in steering module before transmission or it will come back & go into limp.

only 2 faults in the gearbox ,have done all other tests using VCDS.

have you read the data in the modules I mentioned ? I don't think it is possible to have only those faults in the gearbox with nothing else on the vehicle.
If the canbus wiring to mechatronic is damaged which is a common problem you would get these faults & more in other modules.
What version of vcds are you using ??

Have you checked live data as above?
1 of your faults is from steering column module & 1 from selector. both of these modules must have a fault relating to this or a can communication fault.
