Default UUSP-S system error codes 31 and 997

    Hello,
Has anyone encountered "system error: 31" and "system error:997" with UPA S programmer? I've been using it with the same computer for quite some time now without any problem. A couple of weeks ago I started getting those errors which come together btw once in a while. Then I started getting it more frequently and now it all the time. I changed USB cables, uninstalled and re-installed the software + driver, it does not seem to help. It passes the HW test successfully. One thing that's strange though is when I get those errors, under connections, the voltages on the pins are hundreds of volts instead of being zero or very low. I think it's a hardware issue. I will be emailing Penko but since he does not answer right away, I figured maybe one of you knows what's going on here.

    Thank you in advance.

Why change the computer? I don't think it's a driver conflict. It does the same thing on my laptop. And yes it shows crazy voltage.

I solved this problem uninstall old drivers from Elrasoft, install new last drivers and change USB cable. I have usually one cable for ne, or two month.
    I have more interfaces.
    From changes work perfectly.

I think you did not read my post (#3). I did change it...same thing happens on that other computer. Error 997 is overlap I/O problem... so when you get the same error on a different PC and with a different USB cable then chances are it's a UPA hardware problem.
And I remember you. But I'm not from Chicago.

    1. Change the USB cable with one new and very short one.
    2. In PC, go to DeviceManager and uninstal the driver. Now , reinstall the driver manually ,restart PC ,connect the interface, run the software and test.
    3. If not work, change the capacitors on the PCB with a new ones.
    good luck!
