    Default Corsa D 2007 1.7cdti running problems !

    hi

    can anyone help out here

spent all day in this car reprogramming the ecu and various modules
even flashed the ecu with tech 2 as it had a newer file in there for this ecu.

so basically my mate dropped his car off with me as it starts up fine
runs for a few seconds then cuts out
sometimes runs for 10-20 seconds then cuts out

does anyone know if this engine has the fuel pump ecu on the back of the engine like the older 1.7 cars did that had the problems arise in there !???

you can drive the car even
but as soon as you stop it cuts out

    any help here greatly appreciated

    thanks

This is a common rail fuel system and does not have a dedicated fuel pump control module

If the car drives ok under load and all other driving conditions other than idle, with no fuel pressure issues.... From your symptoms I would say 100% you have a faulty fuel pressure control regulator

Any fault codes? Check for water damage in ECU.
