    Default No Signal...all channels.

I was all of a sudden getting no signal on all channels on my Skybox f5, it was literaly all of a sudden, one minute they were there the next they had gone, before this though the picture was jumping all over the place so I took out the cable checked it was ok and put it back (in lnb not loop) but then no signal...on all channels. To be honest my f5 is a bit battered with getting knocked about when I decorated and I can actually hear stuff rattling around in there so I thought it maybe the box itself. So I bought a V8S...and I have the exact same problem.

Here are some stats off the menu.

    Local Longitude 000.00 E
    Local Latitude 00.00 N

    Antenna Setup Menu

    Sattelite (1/1) SKY UK 28A
    LNB Frequency Universal (9750/1060)
    Transpoder (33/109) 10964H 22000
    Signal Intensity 45%
    Signal Quality 10%

Any help would be much appreciated has I don't have a clue. I've had my F5 for a few years now and never had this problem before...I'm baffled.

By the way I have loaded the channels on from this site as I always have in the past.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Sounds like a dead LNB or a break in the cable (check the cable at the dish end)

Do you get any FTA channels ?

Depending on where you are the where strong winds in the south last weekend could be your dish has moved

Sorry to sound thick but what exactly do you men by a break in the cable? I can't see anything by looking at it but haven't yet been up a ladder to look closely. Are the lnbs standard ?

Yes it's the only feed in the house. Looks like getting a ladder at the weekend and checking it out. Somethiong I forgot to mention, theres 2 cables coming from my dish into the house, neither of them pick up a signal, would this indicate a faulty LNB. Or would only one of them cables work anyway, its a sky dish from when we had sky hd fitted years back.

Is it the twin cable that comes with Sly standard, try at friends house and see if it works, if so then issue at yours. Cable could be loose at LNB or dish has moved allignment due to bad weather (it does happen in UK LOL).

Can't see it being the box it's brand new and I had the exact same problem with the old box, hence the reason for buying the new box. The strange thing is when I used to move the tv to mess around behind the back it sometimes played up, if that makes sense, which gets me thinking somethings come loose somewhere ?

Just wondering how you managed a fix for this issue? I'm having similar issues after two years of pain free watching. Just started out of the blue. Not all the time but literally 10-15mins into a film. SNR at standard 86% FTA all grand. After a while the premiums start skipping all over the place and SNR jumps 6% up and down. Unwatchable!! Strange..... Any ideas?
