    Default Openbox S12 signal problems

Finally got the box to work only issue is that it only works when I loop it through the DM500 using the 'no signal diode fix'. When I connect it direct to sat feed nothing, even with the 'no signal fix', what is the problem, it cant be tuner as it does pick up when looped!!!
I'm not that familiar with these boxes.

    All help is much appreciated

    Thank you

If it works when you loop it, its possibly a cable connection not getting earthed from the box or a dry joint on the tuner. Doing it through a DM500 means the 500 is powering the Lnb thus sending the signal through the loop. Without power to the Lnb from the S12 means No Signal.

in one last effort retouched all points with soldering iron but still the same.
decided to sell as this box was only going in attic and would only be used occasionally, thinking of one of them iptv boxes.....
    are they any good?

Get yourself a Zgemma and you can put the likes of Kodi on them. The latest single tuner one appears to have faster processer.
