How you solve this problem. Did you replace new chip or like is in last thread ??do baypass on chip??

What all does the TJA1055T chip handle. RNS510 "C" version. Audio and some other functions

My symptoms: No sound, no sound when playing with either HDD or SD card or CD, no song timer count down, can't upgrade firmware from 1140 to 2680 and when I try it errors with SWL 010303 and does not finish, I can see the radio is locked onto a station but no sound. Everything else works well. Speakers do pop when the system is starting up but no sound.

Help.

Hello Clodius,

I did a bypass on the chip, but I detected that the RNS 510 not starting automatically anymore. ( if the car ignition is on ) I need to turn on manually,after that the all system is working well. Do you have any solution for this issue?

Can Bus Problem is often solder Problem

take a look at the smd ledge which connects the radio and the skin plate usually the outer pins have to be re-soldered

This is vor Old lcd Units

So, there is another fix needed instead of bypassing VCC and BAT on TJA1054 ?

would this solution solve my issue? My rns 510 on initial startup works fine and i can keep it on for hours, but if I shut it off for 10 mins or more and come back to my car the head unit is completely dead and remains dead until several hours later. I've checked all fuses and connections and the problem remains. I'm only assuming its an internal issue of some kind. My part # is continental - 3C0035684C SW 1140.

Also when My unit is dead there is no audio, backlighting, or control through MFD but MFD shows bluetooth connection to phone! but with no audio it's useless.
