Bit 0, value 0: Engine type: 1.2 TSI / 1.4 MPI / 1.4 TSI / 1.6 MPI /? 2.0 TDI (PD, unit injectors )?
Bit 0, value 1: Engine type: 1.8 TSI / 2.0 FSI / 2.0 TSI / 3.6 FSI / 1.6 TDI / 1.9 TDI
Bit 1: Engine type: 2.0 TDI (? Common-Rail?)
Bit 2: Start / stop system installed ( PR code 7L6, for some cars (? Blocks?), If it does not work - see bit 4)
Bit 3: Off-Road mode switch is installed (Skoda Yeti 4x4, PR code 8LG)
Bit 4: Start / stop system is installed (PR code 7L6, for some cars (? Blocks?), If not working - see bit 2)

Bit 7: Right Hand Drive (RHD)
Byte 16 - Additional functions:
Bit 0: Hill Hold Control (HHC, PR codes UG1 / UG4) active (for units with longitudinal acceleration sensor G251)
Bit 1: TPMS virtual button II (RKA +) in the MFA + / Maxidot dashboard (blocks up to 1K0907379 BM , for BM + see 19 bytes), in BM + blocks - an electronic hand brake (EPB) is installed; for Skoda Superb Mk2 with block 3T0 this bit is always active
Bit 2: indirect tire pressure monitoring system TPMS (RKA, PR code 7K6) is active (for BM + blocks see also 19 bytes)
Bit 3: complete ESP off for units with firmware lower than 0120 (AD / AE / AM, possibly some others)? Other units before BM - 2-level ESP off indication on dashboard inactive (ASR Off-ESP Off)?
Bit 4:? Often checked?
Bit 5: Adaptive cruise control (ACC) not set
Bit 6:? Sometimes checked?
Bit 7:? Sometimes checked? It is not known for sure
If you have a problem with the fact that the block does not accept the encoding, although you have checked everything and set the correct encoding for sure, then I give a list of the basic encodings of this byte that I have come across:
11, 25, 28, 30, 38, 68, 70 , A0, A8, B0, B2, B8
Perhaps, in some early blocks, one or more of the bits of this byte are responsible for setting up a complete disable ESP.
Byte 17 - Additional Functions:
Bit 0: Parking assist PLA 2.0 (PR-code 7X5 / 7X6)
Bit 1:?
Bit 2: indirect tire pressure monitoring system TPMS II (RKA +) via the instrument cluster MFA + / Maxidot (virtual block 4C, 2012+)
Bit 3: extended electronic differential lock XDS (PR codes UG3 / UG4) active ( except AD / AE / AN / AP units)
Bit 4:? Stopping distance reduction 2 (Front Assist) in the adaptive cruise control control unit (ADR, J428)?
Bit 5:? Stopping distance reduction 2 (Front Assist) in the control unit for the adaptive cruise control (ADR, J428)?
Bit 6:? Stopping distance reduction 2 (Front Assist) in the control unit for the adaptive cruise control (ADR, J428)?
Bit 7:? Stopping distance reduction 2 (Front Assist) in the control unit for the adaptive cruise control (ADR, J428)?
It is reliably known that in the absence of adaptive cruise control and activation of 4-7 bits in this byte, an error appears in the ABS unit that looks like this:
03197 - Reducing the stopping distance 2 in the ADR control unit (J428)
004 - no signal / communication
Hence the conclusion that these bits are directly related to the adaptive cruise control.
Byte 18 - type of ABS sensors, type of rear steering knuckles:
Bit 0:?
Bit 1:?
Bit 2:?
Bit 3:?
Bit values 4-7:
00 - standard rear ABS
50 sensors installed - new generation rear ABS sensors installed (for parking autopilot PLA 2.0), steel steering knuckles
F0 - new generation rear ABS sensors installed (for parking autopilot PLA 2.0), aluminum rotary fists
Byte 19 - basic value, additional functions:
Bit 0: virtual button for the indirect tire pressure monitoring system TPMS II (RKA +) in the MFA + / Maxidot dashboard (for 1K0907379 BM / BR / BS / CA / CB / CC units )
Bit 1: indirect tire pressure monitoring system TPMS (RKA, PR code 7K6) active (for 1K0907379 BM / BR / BS / CA / CB / CC units )
Bit 2:?
Bit 3: Blind Spot Assist (BSD) installed,? PLA 3.0 ?,? Lane Change Assist?
Bit values 4-7:
10 - disable only ASR, no disable ESP (often checked,? Base value?)
20 -? Base value?
50 -? Base value?
80 -? Base value?
70 - completely disable ESP (ESP Off)
90 - Partial ESP Disable (ESP Sport)
Bit 4: ASR Disabled Only, No ESP Disabled (often checked,? Basic value?)
Bit 5:? ESP Complete Disabled (ESP Off)?
Bit 6: ESP off completely (ESP Off)
Bit 7: ESP partially off (ESP Sport)

Does it worked-with that tutorial can you share your vcds log scan to understand compatible bytes related to specific car

Much wrong info there. This has been floating around since probably the start of this thread times.
I especially like the "base value" and "sometimes checked" explanations in safety-critical system - brakes![]()
I can calculate ABS module codings for:
* Continental/Teves MK60EC1 and MK60;
* TRW systems in Passat B6 / B7 / CC /Tiguan;
* MK100;
* Bosch ABS8.2, ABS9.0 and ESP8.2, ESP9.0;
* EBC 460 (UP!, Mii, Rapid, CitiGo, Fabia, Toledo, etc) New!
* ... and other VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda modules.I can assist with repairing \/CDS interfaces.
Hi!
Please give coding for this modul:
ESP MK60EC1 H30 0107

WVWZZZ1KZAM687372
VIN in IC: WVWZZZ1KZBW135343

Hi,
I have problem with my ABS/ESP controller on my Volkswagen Scirocco 2009. I bought a new unit, due old being completely shot. New appears to be 18bit and old was 17bit, so old coding does not match.
Can You help?
