Why take the risk most models that are cheaper than that clone can take pretty much all approved images from the OE alliance teams and OpenPLI no patched images in site and guaranteed future proof.

Dont get me wrong once there was a place for Clone machines but with the prices of receivers dropping on originals and Chinese company's such as Air Digital releasing a combo machine for just over ?60 with at least some approved support and one patched image for me anyway the Clone era is dead

You've got me there, but I don't know enough to debate the point, but having said that, the example I gave wasn't the cheapest possible option for that receiver, I just selected one at random.

Cheapest is not always the one to go for...Chinese clones...Limited support/load wrong image then you have a brick if you cannot restore it
then you need to buy again....for an extra ?30 I just don't see the point....?100 low end box that you can return to base if there are any problems
that's in the UK....Is a lot less hassle than returning the box to China () or an bay seller.....

I already have one clone, and it is far superior to another box that I have, and that was at least double the price. The genuine box is less stable and even channel viewing and loading reliability is better. I can't go into details without fracturing forum rules. I am watching it now and if you didn't know it you'd swear you were watching a subbed box.

Just a follow up for anyone thinking of getting one..... The Edision OS Mini combo......Very pleased with it a great little box....very fast for its size/the wifi is the best I've seen
its been on most of the day & its not missed a heart beat....No picture breakup No freezing...I thought the built in wifi would struggle.....Not a chance

first time I've saw this on a low end system

The remote is good very responsive ....So no sore fingers

I cannot fault the box ....There is only one fault tho...Just a small one & I'm being picky.....No blackhole/just openvix..but I bet BH would run on it

Not knocking the image but I've been using blackhole for the past 3 years on the Solo 2 & it takes some getting to grips with.... where all the short cuts are

The end of the day my daughters made up & that keeps me happy....
Again cheap low end box for ?106 delivered with the image installed from a local well known company near to me

Will do for me.....If my solo 2 ever dies...I know what will replace it
