    Default Openbox Selection

Hi all, I have a OpenBox V8s, I'm happy with but thinking of getting another box.

Are there any newer/better versions out, in a similar price range?!

    Thanks.

The nearest priced decent receiver is probably the Zgemma S single satellite receiver around ?55

There not very good though are they, if your going to get a zgemma you get the H.2s

What's the magic box mg2 and mg4 like, there said to be better than zgemma, but processors speed don't seem as good as Openbox v8s.

Fair point but you budget does not allow for a more superior model the V8s is what ?35 probably cheaper, This type of receiver the Skybox/Openbox and all its other variety of clone names are about as much use as a chocolate fire-guard when it comes to long term reliability.

Personally i would rather P*** ?35 down the drain than be seen to have to buy one, Or better still give the money to charity.

When you manage to triple your budget from what it is now you may actually get some type of decent satellite receiver

As fellow members say up your budget is the best advice...?100 will get you a good low end system that runs fine & stable

look at it this way....If you want cheap tv.....& hassle every time up you upload a channel list or do anything with the box
and it reboots why you have you fingers cross praying it gets to 100 on the display

That's why the china clones/cheap boxes are only ?30/35...It dies no one gives a S*** you just replace it correct
But if you have one go bang & buy another.then you have already paid out ?70 many have & still will.......

Cheap Tv is great but why people risk using the cheap boxes is beyond me.......Many over heat & blow parts on the power board....Just read the post
I have been on DK for 6 years & the amount posts of bricked boxes for one reason or another i would not like to guess
I wish I had a pound for every one I read......It would pay for a trip to the moon

I'd buy a more expensive box no problem, but as most of us have like me, have a Mrs saying why buy a more expensive one.... There's nothing wrong with this one just buy another one.

If i had my way without getting on the wrong side of Mrs I'd buy a zgemma h.2s, edision, magicbox mg2/mg4 or alike .
