Sprinter cdi 2.2 2009

I have a sprinter van 2009 , customer is saying when the van goes over 80mph rev counter is on 4000 rpm and then moves on red line , but drives normal .is this normal ?

So this is normal. Not every sprinter has the same , because this depends from gearbox and differential.
