Mercedes Slk R171 cluster not working

Are you try another key ? Sometimes if the key is wrong the vehicle start but nothing work

Thanks for your suggestion, however I would have thought that the the dash should still power up on the bench ?

Replacement cluster has been ordered.

Just an update.. replacement cluster installed and re-programmed with Star and now everything working ok
