Best to decode these by eye.
Some keys are so worn, that it is not easy to do.
And a worn ign lock, will not always work, with a new cut to code key.

I do sometimes open up, the ign lock.
I can see the shim code. And replace the shims, all with new.

I did see a decoder tool, with 6 tumbler shims, and reading dial.

    SILCA DECODER FORD TIBBE FO21P
    Product Code: SD705322ZB
    Cost about 500euro.

Oem Toyota.jpgVA8 Dolphin.jpgDolphin can not cut the VA8 correct.
The tip is wrong, it will not be inserted in the locks.

And the VA6 also needs some attention.
    VA lead.jpg

And the cutting adjustement, of the Hu64, perhaps also other keys does not work.
Cutting less, it can do, cutting away more, it does not start the cut.

    And hu64, in clamp m2 position a.
It does not clamp, a hu64.

It will hold a uncut blank.
Soon as you flip the key, to cut other side,
    You are in trouble.

It needs to be in clamp b.

Some hu64 are clamp a some clamp b in the menu,

And info, on tip to first cut,
    It should display, 380 480 580,
    On the 64-0
    64-1
    64-2
It is not visible, in the app menu.

What do you mean, with quality?
    The keydiy blades are fine.

Most keys, when a track is cut, have a gold color inside.

A oem key, this key, in en outside stay silver where it is cut.

Bloody hell, I've denigrated the xhorse machines for years, especially after my experiences with the early ones. I often said they were upjumped engraving machines and not suitable for the task of key cutting.

But I just bought myself a Dolphin II, and I'm fully ready to admit I was wrong on at least this machine. This thing is bloody brilliant especially for the price. Cuts track keys almost as good as my Futura Pro, and the integrations with the KTP and the xhorse app on my phone put the IC/Silca apps to shame. The edge cut keys are absolute garbage though as to be expected from a milling only machine. There are minor quality issues with cutter dwell time etc but dimensionally these keys are pretty damn good.

I daresay this thing is actually better than my Futura on decoding and cutting HU162T. Plus having S&D cards for say Haval/GW 8-cut track new such as used on new Jolion is bloody brilliant.

I'm super impressed, I bought this on sale from MK3 and I am really pleased.

..... new Condor MINI Pro II can decode plastic key , they not use anymore metal conductivity, they use a pressure sensor for decoding

I have one, it's only cut about 30ish keys so far but no issues whatsoever. It's my secondary machine so it's not used like my Futura Pro every day, just when I have Chinese market cars to cut keys for, or when I'm super busy in one location and have a reason to have two machines cutting at once.

I've seen the same reports but I haven't had an issue yet myself.
