    Default DTCs after DPF/AGR removal

    Hi All,

I've got a question onto a VW Touran 1.9TDI BLS (2006) with 03G906021P as I dont have the experience yet.

I've emptied the DPF/FAP and blocked the EGR pipe with a blank cover.

In case I flash now a new binary into the ECU, will DTCs continue to appear or go away after deleting the error memory with VCDS?

The only changes I'd like to make is hysteresis 2 and 5 as well as DPF/OFF with just one bit fro 1 to 0.

    Thanks in advance!

    b.r.

If you use hysteresis maps for egr off you cannot block egr pipe. If you do, you get errors.
If dpf empty, you must reset dpf to new status before replace ecu file with dpf off file.

What modification would then be suitable?

    Thanks!

You are right, I haven't touched the ECU yet. I only did the mechanical work (blocked EGR with metal covers) and removed the ceramics of the DPF.
The car tells me know some issues with EGR flow rate and DPF efficiency, which of course is what I expected.

How can I set the DPF to new? VCDS requires a passcode for mods to the ECU.

Have removed DPF on BLS, disable the DPF in soft and no reset to new status und it works like a charm

sometimes regen request is in memory from ori file. when you replace with dpf off file you get regen request later even though dpf is off. Safer to reset dpf to new or after new regen to avoid this.

    Thanks!
If egr is blanked you need to change egr maps, not hysteresis maps. You must change egr request maps and max/min values.
If you cannot reset dpf status you must wait to see if regen request is in memory or not.

Do you have details on how to do that?

You mean remove DPF physical and then make a regeneration or only set ash to 0

Well, I could reset the DPF via VCDS by setting the ash value to 0. I cleared all DTCs of the ECU and pulled the flash. How can I now change the EGR map, so the DTC of it won't appear. As said, EGR was blanked.

If you use blank plate you must set egr maps to max and change max/ min maps.
why not change hysteresis maps and take blanking plate off.
