    Default SAAB 9-3 CIM replacement

I've got a 05 saab with missing CIM. What are the options in this case?
I have tech2 and tmpro2. Would it be posible to get used CIM make a key for it and add it to the car by tech 2

Do you have any `old` keys for the car?
if so reset used cim, only 2 eeprom files, with or without esp, most have esp
then add cim keeping existing keys with tech 2

There was a key in the car but tmpro would not read it, probably bad key.

How do I reset a used CIM?

Programmed a bunch of saabs, but usually all keys lost or cloning CIM never had one with missing CIM.

Reset of the used cim is done by reprogramming the 93lc66 chip, very easy on those mate.
but that wont help you if you have no working keys, they are stored in cim and ecu, when cim is reset key data is copied from ecu to new cim so you
can reuse existing keys, you need at least 1 working key to do it that way.
in your case you have to make a key from the used cim with tnpro, then `add` the cim with tech 2 once you have a working key

worth checking the antenna on the old key, they fail quite often and if you change that and the key is identified the process is slightly easier
if you cant find the reset cim eeprom file in the search, i can pm it if needed mate.

So I've left with my old CIM, person who tryed read 93LC66a corrupted the eeprom in it.
New cim with keys and guy with tech2 done the trick.

now when i've got hitag2 programmer and xprog i can try to make it working again.

I do not have tech2. I've already put virgin dump to the old CIM.

Simplest thing is to programm it by tech2 to saab, but don't have tech2.

Is it possible to read working CIM from saab and write its eeprom the old cim ?

My plan is to make 2 keys for old cim and sell it to get some cash back for used cim, that i've bought for the saab due to guy messed up the eeprom in original cim.

    Regards
