Default 6Q0 909 605E VW BEETLE AIRBAG ECU

Hi everyone, after scanning this 2003 beetle we couldn't get the airbag light to go off. Im using a genuine vagcom cable & they have said they have had some troubles with these units. Its stored a code saying defective module. I opened it up & removed the eeprom & read it with carprog & cleared the crash. I re read it & it said no crash found, so pretty sure it did it ok. But when we put it all back together the fault codes comes back.

We aren't 100% the code came on when we scanned it, not really an issue, customer just wants it fixed. I've seen this problem mentioned before on the forum, but no resolutions, some help would be greatly appreciated!

I had this issue before. I had to replace the module. Some rare instances you can load a known good dump into module and be ok. However you will need passenger seat initialization afterwords. I ended up using my original dump with new module and all was ok

I tried carprog which I thought was writing its own good dump to the eeprom?.......I havent tried some of the other dumps that I have found here on DK thinking the carprog one should be ok. We are just talking about the 95320 that the crash data is stored in right?....I was sure if the module defective issue was necessarily stored in here. either way here is the attached original dump

is that just the crash cleared? I thought carprog should should do this anyway?

Ive since fitted a second hand module & it has the same code. Unfortunately we damaged the original module, so had no choice. I cant really open up the replacement module though. Is there anything I need to do to initialize the second hand module? I see repairmymodule had to initialize his seat but mine does not have these fitted according to the scan data
