Tried that. Even tried it with the car on with the customers key...Nothing. Connected SB and was done 10 seconds later, no errors

Jose...what are you going to do when it's all keys lost and you can't start car to bypass error? ;-)

It's too expensive to fail that many times.

I agree!! They keep promising all these huge updates BUT can't even fix the common cars that most likely we will get calls for....

Anybody have any experiene using this tool on VW/Audi. I was browsing thru it and I see it has a "read security code" option and key and remote programming. I'm going to try using it here in the next few days. Would just like some input if anyone has used it and it works.

Most chinese "key programmers" don't do precoding...so a lot of them are good enough to do vw/audi up to 2005. Forget about doing beetle 00-01.

If you really want to do VW/Audi....get a programmer specialized in VAG vehicles with pre-coding capabilities. Plenty of good chinese tools that do this.

    2006 Mitsubishi Galant..

Connect machine and first thing that surprises me...Machine is asking me for PIN to program car. Wow!! All newer programmers and some chinese tools automatically fill this window with pin or bypass it completely...

I get a pin online, programmer says success. Key doesn't work. I wanted to verify pin I put in was good so I re-start and put a different pin. Machine once again says program success. ??? Seems like I can put any random pin and it "supposedly" works...Car never started.

I connect Smart Box and it automatically bypasses the pin portion and programs key...Done

01 to 06 Wrangler is Type2. Pin read capable via OBD with very few machines out there. Only one Chinese machine can do it via obd and several american machines can.

I don't see PS80 ever getting this feature implemented.

Type 2 (VPW) pin read only on some model 2001-06
I will add it to the list, along with auto pin for USA Mitsubishi Basic and CAN models.

Correct....About 80% of type2 systems I've done didn't have immo enabled. Cut key, start car...done.
