jmc...but only if I pay a lot of money for a tool....It makes me feel better and Im sure the keys will last longer. Also paying more out of my pocket makes me a better locksmith.

I'm not familiar with the Smartbox. I'll look into it. Thanks for the heads-up.

BTW I give zero f*cks if its "stolen tech" or not. I only mentioned its origin because TrophyHusband said he bought the APP because he believed it was original software, but after hearing the truth now he doesn't mind, because apparently petty theft doesn't move the moral compass as much as grand theft.

I'm not buying the APP because I don't need another tool with overlapping coverage. There are lots of tools out there that have no subscription costs and do the same thing.

Point out the part where I stated that "I didn't mind". That's not even implied.

I misinterpreted the tone and inflection of this statement, I can see now how it can be interpreted in two ways.

It looks like AKS is Not the sole dealer for APP. See current Locksmith Ledger, ad, page 11. National Auto Lock, Brockhage, andCLK.

Got an Obdstar x300 dp to try it out. WOW!!! What a piece of crap!! Its an x100 pro with added G reset and HORRIBLE limited diagnostic program. PS80 is years ahead!!

If you are planning to do diagnostics...stick with PS80 and wait for them to get their act together on the key programming side. I have done diagnostics on Toyota and GM and it works great.

Im talking about the OBDstar X300 pad. You probably are talking about the XTOOL x100 pad. Have a link to the video? Was that "Pad" or "Pad2"?

"H" is reset via online till December, just to prove that Xtooltech did develop and no other Asian factory has release. Even skp900 is following behind in the development.

Not in Menu but programmed under 2015 mustang.

    2013 Sorento Prox
FAIL!!! This system has been giving me issue for several months and they can't fix it. Same system as the Forte Prox I had issue several months ago with.

With my cheap tool(s)...I end up using smart box about 3 times a month. Usually the newer fiat based chrysler cars.
Makes a lot of sense, but do you do Eeprom? Most of the high tech locksmiths ive talked to seem to use zedfull. I guess its because they use it to eeprom and make keys with a tango cloner. Im still trying to figure out best way out from AD with also learning more technical ways
