Question How to open files in winols?

Hi, i just read my first file from a car and i can not open the file into winols.
I read it with kess, and i dont know the exact extansion of the file.
Do i need to convert it with some kind of software to be able to open or what should i do?
The file is already tuned by someone, but i have got and the original file and can not open it too.
I am opening the original file in ecm titanium, but i can not open the tuned file into ecm titanium.
This is problem for me to start learning what is going on there... so please for a little help with this.
How to open files/original or already modified/ into different softwares for adjusting.
And next question.... how to check and correct checksum in the end? any soft or what?
    Thanks!

you should be able to just drag and drop the file straight into winols
but if you want to put an extension on them then make them .bin
