Can anyone tell me if id48 VOLVO cloning works with VVDI key tool? I tried with VVDI2 and can not get past first step of 8 to sniff out

perhaps data was not read via Data Colector
keytool give Biiip when you place them close to ignition, so you can hear signal is detecing.
Combinate keytool with VVDI2 and use

Pcf7946 vdo siemens 5WK4
433 mhz ask 2 button


I tried to create a spare key. Using a xhorse remote key.
Programmed succesful, car starts, but the remote did not work!!!!
I checked the org key, 433,2mhz ask
the new xhorse key, 433,9 mhz ask.


It is not listed in the vvd2 keytool.
So i created it using the handheld key tool.

Wil this be fixed, and then also added in the vvdi2?

Volvo is very problematic, even with Silca T48 cloning

MIcra 2006 - Key Tool snif org key (PCF7946), but not show remote page (user page show ok, but only "00 00 00 00"). OTP area is FE in this key, so i think not possible to read remote info page. Car start OK, remote not work.

I was not able to clone VOLVO yet. The collector works OK with VW.
Some other tool in the video tells you to wait 5 min after first step with the key out. Then it collects ok.
Could this work with VVDI?

So, i created a xhorse key, with transponder and remote on a single pcb.
With the pin code, i then programmed it by obd, using avdi.
Car started, and the remote should have worked!

I did not try the sniffing, i wanted a fully working remote key.

And i did not try to clone the transponder, and remote seperate.
Dont know if that could work in this case.

This function is for precoding original key not xhorse key. For example precoding a used key ufter replace the 7946

Hello Kleidaras,

A Micra or Note original key does not need precoding.
It is always ready to be programmed by obd.

With this keytool function, i made pcf7946 keys, for Psa models. Using xhorse keys!
They always started, and the remotes worked.

In this menu, there are also lots of keys that require to be connected with cable suplied with the vvdi key tool.

Sorry i think you try genatate transponder selection on vvdi. I mean with generate transponder you can write precoding on micra key if replace the pcf 7946 on used key

I think I'm not gonna invest in the future on this tool. Its developed to slow, no support, and many things failed in comapration with keydiy KD X2.
