    Default CARPROG ISSUE

    Hello...

i have some problems with my carprogs...

i use it yesterday to read a bmw srs module, and accidentally i connect reverse the polarity.... the a1 cable burnt out the 106 capacitor exploded.... i replace it and explode again....

do you know what else i must replace in a1 cable to work again? (mcp2515 maybe?)

second issue ........ after that (i don't know what the F@@k happens yesterday the one of the two of my carprog lost connection with pc.....

i re flash it but still the same problem.... i replace the mcu, i can read and write and compare and everything are ok......

but still no communication with pc.......... today and my second carprog stops working......

i don't know ho cursed me..... the same issue...... if i reset it and connect it to pc, pc recognize an unknown device...

when i programing the mcu successfully, no connection with pc...... i remove the at88 from the one and downgrade to ver 6.80 but still no joy....

i don't know what else to do.......

For the A1 adapter, you should make sure you have fitted a 10µF capacitor to at least 16V.
And that you respected the polarity, for the SMD capacitor you marked the positive terminal with a line, and for the normal capacitor you have the negative terminal marked with a line.
I think that the KF50 voltage stabilizer (5V) would be the other component affected by the inversion of the power supply polarity. If this stabilizer was of good quality, I think it managed to protect the components behind it and I think that only it was burned.
You can check this after you install the capacitor, feed it with the correct polarity and measure if it outputs 5V.

About the behavior of the main unit, I encountered this identical behavior only when the AT88SC25616SC encrypted eeprom memory was missing, or was accidentally deleted when the microcontroller was programmed.
