    Default How to read esl with fvdi on bench

    Hallo DK members,
    I need help to read an esl from mercedes w202 1999 fvdi program can read it on bench the issue here is that how to use the cable provided with the fvdi to read it ita a 3 wires cable + - and a kline wire.The fvdi keep popping up provide the interface fvdi with 12v but how?can you please send a schematic or a diagram how i can do this?

    I have this manual it shows the connection to the esl totally agree the problem is i connect the 3 cables to esl red + black - and blue to kline on the esl but fvdi pop up you must supply avdi interface with 12 volt if the esl is on bench and the fvdi is not hooked to a power supply how could he read it ? I need some one who already did this or schould i supply esl with 12v and read with fvdi only blue kline wire .

    yes,you need 12volt for esl

    Old w202, w208 and w210 it is easy to virgin esl. Just erase dumps on mcu1 and mcu2. Connect your fvdi with your laptop, connect ESL adapter to the fvdi, connect obd cable to the esl adapter. + to pin 16 and - to pin 4 on OBD plug, 12 V of course. Then, it has to work !!

    I will give it a try since w 208 and w210 are little hard to disassemble, w203 and w209 are easier with a clear file.

    when you say is hard to pull out if you mean becose is in lock position,,,you can erase esl on vehicle , just disconect ori plug and make conection from description ,,when you delete data ,than esl wil be open an you can take him out

    CAN YOU Explain what you send him, because i have the same problem. I dont know how to connect the ESL connector wires to the ESL.
