Default Ok am I missing something? Re: Openmedia / Dm500c

Ok I feel I am missing something.

My current status is that, I have purchased a OM 500cs. I have updated to the DKv1.1 Image via Dreamup. Then I have updated the roms to "new_roms" (that were linked in one of the posts) via ftp along with the keys into /var.

Now, when I go to do an automatic scan it finds a transponder with lock blinking on and off. Then once a transponder scan is done, it gets about 10 mins in and freezes up.

Not sure if its down to the incorrect key file or something. But I am guessing they are only needed to decode the channels.

I am in Glasgow and am getting a perfect cable line into my conventional box. So I was wondering if am doing something out of the ordinary, or I just have a crappy box?

Cheers for the help in advance.

Ok, I have updated the roms and keys to 755. I think thats maybe where the freeze issue came from. However, I am still not getting any channels using Bruteforce.

    Anyone have any Ideas ?

Ok, I have disconnected the splitter and I seem to be able to find channels(not all of them). However when going in to download evocam 2.1.3, It sometimes shows the Kaos extra settings, then freezes.

At reboot, it also show "This directory doens't contain anything playable!", not sure what that is. I have tried to download evocam 2.1.3 but it says installing, and then reboots?

I realise that this thread is pretty much me posting, but does anyone have any ideas.

I can't see to access the cams in the slot manager. Not sure what is going on. The file is in the var/bin directory, but the manager doesn't seem to see it.
