    Default AUDI A4 - EDC16CP

    Hi,

    I need some info about EDC16CP / 0281012245 / AUDI A4 - 3.0 TDI

    ECU was opened (cover)
    Engine not start
ignition ON --> COOLING FAN is turning

Is this because of a BAD file (software)
    or
ECU printboard is damaged by opening (6 x screws torx - cover) ?

How to repair the hardware if the ECU is damaged by opening/remove the cover ?

    Thanks for advices

i try original software , same problem

software is only programmable by BDM, not by OBD.
even read-out for fault codes with VCDS is not possible, not responding....

Did you try the functionality of the ECU right after opening, before BDM?

    nope, client bring car as-it-is.

someone opened before, for tuning ...some cheap quick-tuning-on-a-parking-while-waiting...no warranty...

So, now you must check if the power supply of the ECU (in the car) is ok.
If it is ok... then you must take a spare ECU and clone yours into it.
Or, if we talking of a bad software inside, you must find a good Full BDM read and put it into yours ~~~~ed ECU.
    Simply...
