Default Digiprog3 4.94 on W203 Error unknown version

The diplay lights up. The kilometer display shows "-------".
Digiprog does not read the old mileage.
If I enter a new kilometer stand now get the
    Error message "Unknown version".
Does somebody still have an idea?

Do you have option to remove dash and do mileage via dash plug? i had similar problem with digimaster 2, and managed ti restore it with Tacho universal...
Did you try to flash dash?(to block synchronisation with EZS)

Was this error before? Maybe dataset erased? W203 has SW and HW id in eep, so if eep down then no more diag as no tool can identify it. And "-----" looks a little bit like sync with ezs is lost. Maybe killed with flashpatch? Lots of possibilities sadly.

    @ Alkaskad:
I tried it with the cable ST60 directly at the instrument.

    @steveleo:
The instrument is from another vehicle. The original instrument was probably defective. (So it told me the owner of the vehicle ...)
    I have another possibility?

In W203 the SW Version is stored not in the EEP, it is stored in the flash.

Gentlemen, just wondering if anyone found a solution to this problem?

I have the same "version unknown" situation using a reworked st60 cable on the W203 2002 and 2000 dash. My device is V4.94 Chinese clone Digiprog 3.

Have searched so many threads but no luck. I just need my 2nd hand dashboard flashed and break the EZS sync.

    Thank you for your answers

@jetronic30 What eeprom do you want me to replace? I just wanted to flash the dash to break the ezs communication. Plug in from the back with st60.

@Dune85872005 SSID bad in line 0040 - what should I put there to be able to flash it with digipigi3 and break ezs communication? I don't care about ezs just want the (------) to disappear. Yes, I would have adapted with Star but don't have it and won't spend money for just 1 job.
