The channels involved are Animal Planet, Discovery HD, Discovery History, Discovery Home & Health, Discovery Science, Discovery Shed, Discovery Turbo, DMAX, Eurosport1, Eurosport2, Investigation Discovery, Quest and TLC.

The channels will not close at all, they MAY not get carried on Sky but will still be available on other platforms.

This is not new, channels often go down to the wire on carriage negotiations. It may be that a last minute deal is done or it may mean a short period of the channels missing from the Sky platform. I expect that a deal will be done, especially when Sky customers start phoning to demand refunds and cancellations.

And just to add to this, Sky are gonna start offering all there channels without the need for a dish.

They'll spend every penny on more and better content that their customers value , what customers there will be alot of cancelations when this happens on Wed as not everyone watche's sports or movies idiots, besides there are more ways to do this now that pay ~~~~ing sky for that.

Probably because they are Bricking it, Uncle Ruppie thinks nothing of spending Billions on football rights well lets see what happens now as any 'Legit' subscriber can now effectively cancel subscriptions straight away without any form of comeback especially the ones who have these channels as part of there sub pack

Got to admit that the only channels we will miss will be eurosport, the rest are poor in my humble opinion, Nat Geo etc are far better

Great news, we can confirm that Sky will continue to carry the Discovery and Eurosport channels. Hmmm...according to techradar Discovery backed down & accepted Sky's original offer.

“We are pleased that we will continue to carry the Discovery and Eurosport channels on Sky," said Sky’s CEO for UK and Ireland Stephen van Rooyen.

“The deal has been concluded on the right terms after Discovery accepted the proposal we gave them over a week ago. This is a good outcome for all Sky customers".

And yet accrording to the social media it was sky who backed down because of their customers complaining about loosing the channels, a bit of he said she said in the end.
