Hi, hope that someone can share comport settings and terminal configuration. I only get unreadable characters (and thus the program doesn't work). Tried both direct connection to serial port and through USB adapter. I use the same hardware to connect to Audi MMI systems without any problem. Any idea?

Hi,
I suppose that Audi MMI use an adapter with TLL levels. For RNS510 you need a direct RS232 connection.
What kind of the adapter you try to use?

Hi, Thanks for your response. I've tried a direct RS232 to my serial and I still see garbage in my Teraterm / Putty. This is supposed to be a straight forward thing but it took me almost a day with no result

Hi Claudiu,
Hope I can disturb you with a strange issue that I have... I think the cable works fine cause Putty is working as well (I've attached some photos), the driver seems to be installed properly, I just don't understand what I did wrong? Hello,
Putty terminal shows garbage so the program isn't involved. If the interface is connected properly and the baud rate is set 115200, all the messages from Putty terminal should be readable.
-replace the interface.

I could not make it to work under Win XP. .Net 4.0 is the last version officially supported by MS in Win XP. But it worked perfectly fine under Win 7. US version of Touareg RNS-510: 7L6 035 684 C. Thank you.
I also have a 7L6 035 684 B I would like to test but it shuts down during boot and I would love to diagnose it via debug console.
