Smart 454 remote programming

Hi guys,

Has anybody got some information on programming a remote on a Smart Forfour 2005 model?
This is the version that uses a 2 button remote key and is based off a Mitsubishi Colt.

It has an integrated remote (PCB and transponder in one).
I have read that it gets programmed at the same time as the key but I have also read that you ground pin 1 on the OBD
and then push the hazzard switch 6 times.

I have tried both, with and without the key in the ignition and no dice.

Anybody know what the real story is with these keys?

Never heard about that programing way... With AVDI is 1 min job, remote program at same time as the key. Zed full also can do this job

Hello,i have the same problem,ori key transmits ok but central locking do not work,programmed another one but same story also,any ideas,fallen did you solve it?

Is this not got the smart box ecuprovably water in there these smart cars there is nothing smart about them.

You also can do this with FVDI - only keep in mind this

on my FVDI I have ver. 5.11 and 6.4

on ver 6.4 missing instructions - there is start button and when you start the procedure you don't know what to do - After around 1 minute procedure is finished and you will lose all stored keys because you didn't learn any key.

on ver 5.11 all instruction is there and you can add keys without any problem

maybe this problem with missing instructions doesn't effect all devices

I never got to the bottom of this. I believe the SAM may have been faulty.

i can learn keys with fvdi under smart and also under colt,immo always ok but remote no,probably as fallen said maybe somethin wrong with sam...
