    VCDS or manual procedure:

    1. Ignition on with 1st key
    2. Close the door and turn to lock position with second key
    3. Press unlock on remote (once if u want save remote on 1st position, twice if 2nd position etc. Indicators should flash after pressing unlock.
    4. Wait 5-6 seconds and press unlock again. Doors should unlock and lock. Remote is programmed.

ive done by keydiy in past but only via diagnostics , i havnt used keydiy for a long long time on these as went back to too many where they just stop working , always recoded back in but then stopped working again, so always use oem on these now as hate call backs. these were years ago so may well be that the bugs are fixed now , interested to know if case as if so may give them another go.

ive had issues getting remotes to code in on these a4 with advanced diagnostics in past some would work some would not , though always straight in with vcds.
