    Default Problems with A1 cluster

I have a STAR DAS an when I try to get in to the A1 cluster on my Smart Roadster it seems that I need some sort of code.
I had a link here but I will instead put the whole thing in a new post.

    Thanks

    I have a problem!
    Some screen shots

    First i identify the vehicle.

It is a Roadster, I choose System

    In System I choose A1

In A1 I choose control unit adjustment

I choose Read variant coding of control module A1 (instrument cluster) and change if necessary.
    This comes up!

I click F3 and this comes up
I will go on in the next post

Is there any kind of program that can be used to see what the program is waiting for here and then go in and change what it does when the right or wrong code is put in? If so You (I) could make any code fit!

Well one thing is that I am sure that I can get the current fuel consumption on the speedo and an other thing is that I have converted the car to E85 (ethanol) and that is done either by prolonging the injectortimes or bigger injectors and then I need to adjust the setting to get the display to show the right value.

I have heard that some older versions don't require as much codes and keys as the newer versions so that could possibly be a way for me to get past this problem.

How do You do that? Do You use DAS or something else?
I would like to have the reading of the momentary fuel consumtion on the speedo. Is that possible?

    Hi J?rgen,

At least you have an actual problem to solve using your MB STAR - I have solved the one main issue I bought my one for :- Adjusting the clutch.
Are you sure the things you want o change are in the instrument cluster? Have you tried altering the fuel injectors and seeing it the instrument cluster automatically changes?
    Just a thought.....

Nice to see You again John!
That is a good idea but I also wanted to show the momentary fuel consumption in the speedo.
I will take a look in the other parts of DAS to see if that part of the problem can be solved like that.

I have had a look around in the different parts of the DAS but not found anything to adjust the injectors. In >System>Adaptations>Read coding and change if nessesary there is only the choyce of what mode the gearchange is in when the ignition is put on.
