Iptv on v8s

Due to the problems with sky , I have a v8s and am trying to upload iptv , only problem is , have no idea if it's possible and how to do it , have got a 2 day iptv test to see how it goes, have been given a m3u file , what is it , and where should I install it ,? Many thanks
