Simple Answer Yes!, Although think about updating the box to get something more up to date and far superior in performance

DM800HDpvr, DM800HDse, DM500HD and DM8000HD support as well IPTV with new firmwares such as OpenPLi 4.0 IPTV, OpenBlackHole IPTV and DE-OpenBlackHole 1.5, all these images are supporting Cable Tuners as well.

Only the DM500HD has a tuner you cannot replace, all the others have extractable/insertable tuners that you can replace with a Cable Tuner.

So obtain both, Cable/Sat/Terr + IPTV all in 1 box, and IPTV works much much better than on most IPTV boxes. Just be sure the images have the latest GStreamer eg 1.11.x or ExtePlayer3, these are the top for IPTV support.

By the time you have n=messed around getting a tuner for the box and then realising you might have to get a different Sim for continued image support, your money time and effort would be better placed in a new box which would probably cost around the same anyway

IPTV works perfect on old DM boxes, you don't need new boxes, I tested FTA IPTV Links on the DM800HDpvr, DM800HDse, DM500HD and DM8000HD... these work better than the DM520HD... it's all related to software, new boxes still don't have enough reliable software for IPTV... perhaps let's hope in future they will improve it and let go the old GStreamer 0.10 in most images ;o) to switch to ExtePlayer3 software !

I know it's astonishing, we all would imagine new boxes would work better, but for IPTV this is not the case, and the Android boxes
in fact are Tablet motherboard adapted to TV...
