    Default Orange5 Clone problem , Dead Orange5

Hello, Did anybody encounter this issue.
I have both Orange5, Clone and Original.

I accidentally opened Orange5 original while my clone was connected.
Software opened up and said that it is setting up new software.... after that finished, the orange5 clone is no longer visible when plugged in to usb. It does not show any type of life.

Any info on recovery will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

Hello everyone, I have connections to read an ATMEGA AT91SAM7X256 DE ORANGE5 BOARD but if the processor is locked at the factory can not read the file, first you have to put the erased pin to ground to clear the chip and unlock and then you will have the whole chip in FF and unlocked, we need a good firmware file, but I do not know how to get it since I try to read an orange5 in operation but it is blocked

    hello guys...
I have some Orange5 bin files (i think its the firmwre but not sure what serial and how wil it work...
Anyone knows how to get SAM-BA to work with Orange5 PCB?
I also want to do some testing but i dont have the Jtag Programmer and for what i read, it seems to be possible to use SAM-BA app from Atmel to load firmware on this by USB...
Just Consider helping Freely like I want to do...
Thanks and Rep are Always Welcome...

    Hi Boxsport,

I'm also having the same issue of killed Orange5 clone v1.34. Can you share the bin file you have?

For how to use sam-ba, there is a youtube video FYI:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsLmJtrzsnE

Using the AT91SAM7S SAM-BA on-chip bootloader and the SAM-BA in-system programming software to load firmware to the AT91SAM7S256 microcontroller via the USB port. Read the tutorial at: http://startingelectronics.org/tutori... No external programmer is needed, the firmware is loaded to the microcontroller's Flash memory from the USB port using the SAM-BA in-system programming software that is available for free from Atmel. The tutorial at the above link contains more information about the hardware and where to download the SAM-BA software from.

    #3 post also looks interesting.

    Hardware Requirements:
In order for the boot loader to work, there are some hardware requirements that must be met on the microcontroller circuit:
    • The USB microcontroller pins must be connected to a USB connector.
    • An 18.432 MHz crystal must be used for the microcontroller oscillator to enable a 40MHZ clock for USB operation.
    • Pin PIOA16 (PA16) must be dedicated to switching on the USB pull-up resistor - usually through a transistor.
    • The TST pin needs to be connected to a jumper to be able to pull it high.
    • Pins PA0, PA1 and PA2 must all be pulled high when the TST pin is pulled high.

    Thanks,
    Ken
