Default PASSAT B7 3C 2.0 140 PS CFFB ECU REading error KESS KTAG

    HI!

I have bought an reworked KESS AND KTAG from this forum user... from: @heteromies.

    I want to read the Passat B7 2010 2.0 140PS CFFB

And... If i try to do the ID throught KESS>> OBD then i get that it is uknown ECU.....

Then i tried to get ECU out and tried to do it TRICORE using KESS:
    IMG_20170601_140003 (Kopiowanie).jpg

    IMG_20170601_140008 (Kopiowanie).jpg
    but i get this info...
Comunication line not present or corrupted
    IMG_20170601_135943 (Kopiowanie).jpg

I also tried to use KTag and still the same...

    I always get:
"Comunnication error with the ECU, control all connections..."

I have checked 3 times the soldering and it should be ok, moreover i dissolder the iwres go to car and the Car Works normally so ECU is still good.

I resolder it one more time having checked everything but still the same..

Can I try to do it like this:
    VAG_EDC17C46_TC1767_Int_DE.jpg

so solder a 3 resistors and connect only to pins? Whithout grey and blue crocodile?

Any TIPS how to solve it?

    Thanks in advence

well that gray boot wire is basicly gnd...Maybe you have bad tricore 14P600KT02 cable if getting same connection error on two devices, did you checked it? at least +12 on reds and gnd on black and boot wires...

edit: on the other hand i think you should be able to ID it over OBD , did you tried your kess on any other can ecu?

CFFB Engine is ecu edc17c46. Try to go over protocols and not over the vehicle list. Try to use protocol for tprot. Must work 100%

How the others write before. Dont use the car list. Try to read over protocols, works with my kess too only in this way. And maybe you wouldnt be able to read if you go normal on the read button. Than you have to use Tools>Backup or direct Backup.

I have checked CAN ON AUDI A4 B8 2.0 CR 143 PS and ID throught CAN is ok....\

wireing is also ok.... and soldering in my opinio also.

What do You mean Protocol 199??

    I do:
    Protocols>>K-Tag>Bootloader TRicore>>BOSCH EDC17 VAG TPROT 8/10 (FAMILY 268)>>
    ● Plug-in 269: EDC17 C46 IROM TC1767 TPROT>>DIRECT>269 C46>READ

    and always the same... not readed ID;/;/;

    NEXT EDIT:/;/;/;/;/:

I HAVE DISCONNECTED NOW THE PINS and desolder the wires and take THE ECU to Vehicle to look if it still START..... AND NOW THE MOTOR Will not start ANY MORE,

I have tried to dissconnect it and reconect, to look on soldering ob board etc. The car didn't see the ECU. I think that ECU is dead;/;/;/

    How can i repair it?

    1. Should i buy a "new" used ECU EDC17c46 from another CFFB 2.0 ENGINE?
    2. Ok, if i musst then I wil do it but will I program it using CAS?
    3. Where from should I get good and working ECU Files?

Can someone please help me? Can Pay for help but want to learn for a future how to do it ;D

    THANKS IN ADVANCE,
    Kuba

First get good tool to read ecu ln boot mode
You need other ecu with same Hardware number
Find tuner for immo off on ecu

    Look like so

Damn...sounds bad. Did you make a mistake when you opened the ecu?

Watch on it maybe you lost a part like a resistor or something else.

should always try edc17 pro199 first its in normal vag not tprot , l have done 2013 skoda with 199 , you must of damaged or connected wires wrong to kill it , u need one now the same in every way all the same numbers , even a dead ecu should work in boot mode tho , best to have a backup read at least to use on other ecu

soldering is to risky and close to chip too , pins is the only way to be safe , and a shit ?50 kess is not the way to flash customers cars

Ok so i should buy a another used ECU and read this ECU in boot mode
(I tried not on the BDM but DIRECT CONNECTION but nothing happend)
    ;/;/;/;/
(what if i solder my pins to connections for BDM on board?) it should go good i think.

Now I now that the fast as i ca i should buy a BDM FRAME;/

and in readed file make immo of and then write in Recovery mode on new one Yes?

    Thanks!

No... after opening it and ttrying one day of reading it I desolder the ECU and connected it to Vehicle and everything was good (Auto started).

I think that i have soldered it and desolderd pins 10 times to be sure that it is good and there is no connection beetween gray and blue wire.
    And then sth goes wrong...
Or my K-tag/Kess has made sth wrong......

Ok but kann You tell me how to read it with a "PRO199" for my future?

Yes and it is strange that i cannot read it in boot mode i will buy now the BDM FRAME for sure!!!

I have Bought the reworked version from DK Forum memeber and have Payied for K-Tag not 50$ but 500$ to be sure that it is reworked and will not damege customers cars. The same with Kess v2.
I thought that If i Pay someone from DK member 10 times more than I will get the good working Interface.

Ok, the only solution is now to buy an Other ECU and try and try to read this one

but how to read in PRO199 Mode? for future
