    Default how safe is it to use digiprog 3 clone on 2008 5 series bmw e60 to change kms

    hi all ive been trying to sort a 2008 5 series e60 bmw for a friend and change mileage
    my bmw multitool wont do it and i told him to come take car back

    i do have a clone digiprog3 but im not always keen to use it

    is it safe on the cas3 on this car

    i can do the cluster no problem just dont have any good tools to do the cas
    except this clone digiprog 3

    mate, clone does not work in CAS only the genuine does with HC-12, from 2008+ will do by OBD with CAS3 DIAG. Buy R270 programmer will do the CAS3 for you.

    You can try with Digi ,I did a couple of them with CAS3+ and all was fine .

    ok i will only do it if friend will pay for new cas if it stuff it up,
    i want to buy an r270
    is there photos on where to solder the wires or is it all in the instructions

    i also see ther eis an r280 programming tool for bmw
    is it worth getting thst instead or just use the r270

    i also have the bmw multitool with the cas3 adapters
    but it would connect to cas but not read it
    i can atleast use the cas connectors for other tools i hope

    R270- Very easy to use and comes with instructions and pictures.

    thanks guys i think i will order oen of those tools from china

    i just tried my digiprog 3 clone and it does read the cas but it doesnt recognise the file
    i got the same problem with my bmw multitools connects to cas but unknown system error

    im hoping this r270 will recognise it
    maybe its too new a bmw being late 08 e60

    R270 will definitely do it you only get unknown version trying obd
