IM608 has version repair after downgrade as well. Haven't used it yet just because I'm not entirely sure what it does and everything works fine without it. I'm fairly sure it does a recovery after downgrade during the execution on its own.

Yes. Definitely. Try it. 9389115 needs to upgraded back after you downgrade and make a key.

certainly , but for sell key at 70€ ( BMW official dealer sell it 150 in France ! under 5 days ) , i never do this operations by OBD2 my friend , customer provide me : CAS3 + One key
VVDI Prog on table it's professional way , never lose money at job it's an basic rules !

In several hundreds of these that I've done by OBD using CGDI, I can count the number of failures on the fingers of one hand. At that point, I repair the eeprom fairly quickly.

Having said that, I'd not be contemplating these jobs at €70 EUR - I charge £100-120 GBP. My cheapest remote key is £80 GBP and I'll do discounts for two, but I'm not opening my laptop/toolbag/whatever for £60/€70. I don't see that as professional, to be honest.

BMW CGDI it's the only tool i use for BMW cars , never fail by OBD2 , but no miracle , for 450€ it's not the better ( https://www.microtronik.com/products...x-ii-scan-tool )
