Default DM500 test image for using official n3 card

below is a link for a DM500 image that is set up to read your LEGAL subbed nagra 3 card
***not for cardshare but just to have a better box to use***
as peeps are using their official sly cards in dreamboxes this is an option
for all testers to have a go at using their n3 card and report back

This image is ready for nagra 3 cards but is optimized for Tv Cabo
may need to be tweaked for other providers but a step in the right direction

interesting... to cleaify and I know the "cardsharing" isnt allow to be discussed on the forum, so Im trying to be careful on how I ask this.

But can this image work with cable with the peers setup as sat cardsharing does? If so, wont this sort the Irish problems with n3?
    Setup: 2x Dreambox 800HD | 3x Dm500S on Motorised dish Setup

well in theory any image setup to read a card either sly or cable
can be configured to cardshare but thats not what i would be after
sat is a much better option for that but maybe at some point we can
have a ready to go image to use our official n3 cards in our dreams
but it would be down to each person to have their own bk & rsa key

The way Ch*rus did the upgrade I am not sure the box key is used.

I put the card from ch*rus into the old sagem box and ran the software update. after a few hours the streams cleared.

Tonight i willput the same card into a second redundant box in the house and wait for it to clear. If it clears then (I think) the box key is not used. Box keys (I think) are not sent over a stream and you must ring them to let them know when it has worked so no talk back too. ( again me thinks)

@phester what happened when u put the 2nd card in the same sagem box?? my understanding is the boxkey comes from the sagem but gets written to the card. but im not sure if an rsa key is needed and how to get it

the sagem came on as normal. required software update. then displayed the "this card is not activated" same as in all the boxes. I was not allowed to leave in over night to see if it would work. Parents giving out.

I might try again over the weekend to see if it will activate

Also it seems that some more channels from the standard sub have now started dissapearing. BBC now 1802 only. They rang the house and asked if we were using the new card but my Parents would not lie and said I dont know instead of " what new card". Looks like no free TV for Christmas.

Does anyone have the new card working with a DM500. Do we need to crack the old card to get a box id or how do I go about it.

@phester each legit box has a 16 digit boxkey and same boxkey is on the card for that box....the boxkey on any box cant be changed and only a card with the correct boxkey and ird no. will work on it
    this is 100% accurate

there is no public way to get the box key and rsa key from a n3 card
    and yes you need both

well the box key could be retrieved from the N1 cards. If that is easier than trying to get it from the box.

NO idea how difficult this is
This would be enough to at least use the legit card in a Dbox.

From the sat scene ppl are sharing rom142. Have not found out how yet but I guess it must be a card glitch.

Dont want to cross any red lines or talk specifics. Just trying to get a direction on which way to go

its easy to get the bk from a n1 card....but you need the rsa key as well to use a n2 or n3 card....the n1 card does not have a rsa key so its of no use to you
the only option you have is to get it from the box
    google may help you

I am at a loss on how to get into the engineering menu on a sagem 1CD60-31. Google is not helping

from the ordinary menu I can get smartcard no and access control no 12 digits. But I assume it can be that

The serial no of the box is also readable "Serial ID" matches the sticker. I can use a hex converter... I read somewhere drop teh 53xxxxxxxx where the xxx are the box key. I still am unsure about the RSA key.

Also did anyone look at the new cards before they were activated. As the cards were not working for several hours after they were inserted into a box. I assume that the cards come blank and get locked down after they update from the stream.

You aint gonna get the bk from the serial id,they dont make it that easy.
Checkout the RED stickies massive amount of info and effort been put into them.
