    Default Golf 4 2.3 V5 AQN Lambda probes off

    Hi all,

    What can be done with my friend's Golf 4 2.3 V5 AQN 170HP
    He has removed CAT yesterday
    So he is thinking to disable lambda probes?

    can it be done?

    Will any of these maps increase power? Or it's that impossible with these engine?

    Friend i tell you Its impossible, Its N/A engine... u Can increse your power after exhaust, manifold... but Its big costs and not a lot of power... better is sold this car and buy turbo engine

    For more power in AQN you should do good CAI (TB diameter is same as 204HP 2.8 24V, so it's enough), modify exhaust installing metal CAT and one back box, pipe diameter not more than 60mm
    This will give you not more than 10hp
    Mapping this engine and any other VR is a pain because you need really good fuel, if not ignition retard kicks in and all is gone.
    Of course spark plugs and coils must be in perfect shape and compression test is a must!

    As you can see this is lots of $$$ for just litle gain.
