Ok, Edc light flashing, examined flap & seems to be ok, goes on & off as normal. this only info i have, any advise ? Regards P

The code 28B = short circuit to battery (+) at throttle valve actuator. In case of permanent fault, the TVA solenoid valve is set to rest position (normal open). If the ignition is on the TVA flap should close until you start the engine. You can see this by removing the hose coming from the intercooler.
Check the condition of the TVA connector and valve operation, replace the valve if is in short circuit.
The code 188 is generated by the first defect.
    TVA connector pins configuration.
    1. PWM signal - 2. Positive - 3. Earth - 4. Throttle position signal.
