I use mb cdgi on mercedes c class 204 to correct mileage. When I write the mileage to dash, mileage is now reading 999999. Why has it done this and can anyone help please. I try a few times but dash reads the same

Because the maximum mileage in the eis is 999.999 miles.
And your cluster syncs mileage with eis.

Read eis mileage, and go from there

    Doing mileage correction is tricky,
only use write mileage direct to dash, other method will write a hacked flash to CGW,
but that won't work properly and you will get 999k mileage and will also ruin coding in your car.

You need to correct mileage in EIS... at the end then correct dash...
    that is tricky.
After that, you may need C4 (or C3) with development engineering tool to correct ASSYST data and mileage in other control module,
otherwise the dash will have faults said management data and mileage incorrect misconfigurate untrust etc... of course that faults can be ignore.

The problem is not the software. This function works proper.
You need to backup dash and gateway.
Then check real mileage first in eis.

Learn about the synch, and how to disable synch.
Buy a bench setup cable, so you can work on each module separete.

What is the mileage in the eis?
If to high, renew eis, might set it to 0km, maybe.
If to high and resset not possible, use canfilter.

Mileage in cluster, you can do by obd,

Trying to read a 2002 clk w210 on bench with ac adapter according to cgdi diagram. Reads eis data and then does the data collect but gives error on validation when uploaded. Am I supposed to do it in the car with Kline hooked up to ELV plug or something?
