The donor ECU is DAS4 so technically not able to renew by any tools.
You can try clone the existing DAS3 ECU (flash & eep) to that donor ECU see if this work.

    Why ask me that !?
According to your dump your donor ECU is from a Japan 2015 white CLA180, it is Marked DAS4 !
    That's it !

You don't need to believe me,
just hook up CAN cable and read the donor ECU in Xentry or Vediamo or whatever and see for yourself !

You haven't told any info about your fd's car,
if that is still FBS3 but the ECU is damaged,
only try clone from the same yr same model ECU,
or flash with old flash then try SCN coding.

why you say that i don't want to believe you .. no sir .. i appreciate your help and thanks for your replies ... i saw also on dump that it was cla and you are right ... the idea here is that i want to know from vin which should be fbs3 and which is fbs4 (without reading key)

It is easier if the seller can provide donor VIN to check.
ECU SW number also can ... but if you know which number is fbs3.

Feel like the pre-facelift CLA may still fbs3, so try source the old CLA ECU.
Or if you have chance to read fbs3 CLA ecu, dump into the donor ECU on your hand see if this work.

    Hello,
I had an issue with one w204 today. The elv died and needed to be replaced. I read the eis data and pass and after that I connected MK3 emulator. Cgdi would read the emulator and display some data but when I load eis data to write it, the software would crash. After that I only pasted password from eis into the data the mk3 emu already had from factory and only then it wrote successfully without crashing. The elv emu works and car starts, but why does the crash occour? Anyone had simmilar problems?

CGDI doesn't seem to like any emulators not their brand for k-line writing, I tried to personalise a xhorse emulator with CGDI and software also crashed whilst trying to k-line write. Put the same data and the same emulator on my xhorse tool and it wrote no issues, you could probably personalise emulator by Mercedes native OBD/IR method(blank EZS, personalise EZS, write coding, personalise ESL in car, activate EZS) but this will not work if it is a dealer/spare part EZS as they are one time programming.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I`ve spent time reading earlier posts on this thread. One this is for sure, MK3 emulators can rarely be read correctly. My guess is that CGDI writes at least some data to the emu before crashing. In the end, it only began working when I wrote Pass from EIS to elv. Hope this helps other users in future.

I have been using mk3 emu 2ys ago,
just write as normal elv, no software crash so far.

Yes, all tools take time to reset/enable/remove tp on those chips. Simon Touch also takes several hours. This is one of the reasons emulators are so popular now, remove and unplug faulty unit program emulator job done. I keep a couple refurbished steering locks with reset processors on the shelf as well for customers who still want the steering lock function. Swap over, program, refurbish steering lock(reset NEC, replace motor & relays) when I get home while watching TV.

Don't do any mileage correction method other than 'direct write mileage to dash' except you can restore it or restore car to factory status.
All other methods will write the modded software - software CAN blocker, end up will just screw up everything.

Actually your dash is not brick,
just flash correct firmware back it will alive.
I never seen dash brick except hardware problem.
