Have you done it? In window key read/ write you have to put password and click activate...
I am personally not a big fan of keyless key (not only benz, but other brands as well)...
The proper way is always insert to EIZ the activate key and sync to car.

And when the keyless does not work after key has been inserted in EIS (and activated)? How to activate keyless?

    I haven't experience such problem.
If you using that key need to activate this way just do it, I've never said you can't do that.
But it is better if simply activate in normal way.

BTW what keyless key is it ?

By the way, sometimes the radio channel does not work on w/x164 if the key is registered to the used bus. For it to work, just erase and write EZS again....

    Bought as CGDI.
Programmable/erasable, starts the car when the key is in the lock, no problem.

At I remember there are at least 3 version of keyless board.
Probably you have brought the first version of keyless.
    It doesn't support change frequency.
In the online store I also can't find your version now.

    Hi,

Recently I programmed 2x CGDI keyless keys for W204, it was all keys lost. I rewrite existing position 1 and 2 and I had such situation that remote and push to start did not always work. When put key into ignition it was starting the car everytime. I described that problem here, it must be somewhere on previous or last 2 previus pages.

So I think you found the solution because you think this will be same problem as yours?

Why would you use existing positions.
I always start from pos 8 and count back.

If 4/5 positioned are used i make eis virgin and u can re-use all positions.

    Wbr Adam.
