Does this button have a feature or is it like a blank key? battery or a magnet
I may be asking an unnecessary question please sorry
    no problem.
I am wondering the start key problem, or the keyless key not compatible?

Please provide the EZS part number. Let's create a list of EZS that are not overwritten...

Interestingly this is the first 164 EZS I've seen with an updated board, the interconnect for the coil is now through mount pins rather than the constantly breaking surface mount ones.

I tried A1649051600 today, indeed EZS resets to zero but does not record other data. I had to restore what was.

Tis a shame as that updated board design looks much improved over the older type. I might see if I can get a processor that will take data after reset onto that board.

mercedes w 210 lost key cannot make I've been dealing with this for 2 hours. I tried it with a faild ac adapter and it's still the same. I think I need to disassemble and do this by reading the processor. Well, there is something like this, the car's old key is version 51, NEC, I tried it with it, but I still couldn't read it, my real question is, can I get the password from the NEC processor?

Yes you can get the password from the NEC in the key, but I've had one 210 ever that couldn't be completed by IR and that was due to multiple corrupted key tracks and I didn't want to fill all available slots til I got a working key. If you're going to be doing desoldering anyway I'd recommend desoldering the inner MCU in the EZS and reading that with a programmer. Desolder the through mounts and fold the EZS open and then take off the inner HC05. Orange, Mbprog etc will all read the HC05 easily. Feed the file into CGDI or any other reputable Benz tool and you'll get keys produced. Inner MCU is a backup of the original state so you avoid the corruption you sometimes find in the outer MCU.

Glad your problem got solved but for future reference the files generated by CGDI for password recovery are locked to the device used to do the extraction. You cannot pass your files to a friend with a CGDI device to do the job. This is obviously done to encourage you to buy tokens/keep subscription.

Check this video. You can also do it on car but it takes over 1 hour to do it on car.
