We have to find a solution.....
They forced us to upgrade!! and there is no return....

When you get the window to update your software... Just press later... And you don't have to press update software... You can do it later or even never... It's up to you...

But in the most cases they have something new in their updates so it's interesting to get it...

But I understand what you try to say with your words...

Guys is there a way to obtain 'enable key password'? I disabled 1 of my car keys and now I want to enable it again but CGDI cannot calculate it. At first it displayed enable password is '0' and asked me if I want to continue. I don't know what that 0 means but if I continue it fails to calculate. I never done this disable/enable function before.

If i remember good, when we disable key, only dealer can active it.

You can enable the key yourself, but you need the key password to calculate the enable password.

I have a Vito W639. The owner has bought a new key from the Mercedes dealer. But the key did not work.
Problem was that the new key (# 3) was disabled in eis.
Proceed as follows: First, we need the key password from the EIS. So collect data ... etc. If we have this, we will click on "get enable password". Of course we need an online connection.
When the enable password has been calculated, click enable, select the key to activate, and click OK. You need the IR simulation key.

If the key is locked by Star, then according to this method, you unlock the key only in EZS. And in the ECL and motor ECU the key will remain locked.

I can not understand the specifics of the device. To calculate the dealer password and calculate the key password, if you lose it completely, do you need to use a token and an online connection? How much does a token cost and what is this 180 days that is remembered in sellers' prices?

Ok so I think I understand why it didn't worked for me because at the main screen I had just EIS data read without key password. I have password so I will plug again, read EIS and paste known key password and then try calculate enable password. Will let you know the results. Thanks

But I don't understand why we can disable any key without having any password if we need password to enable them again. Would be better and more convienient if we need password to disable also.

That is not right. I did it myself and it works.

For the CGDI, to calculate the passwords you need an online connection, since the calculation runs on an external server.
The 180 days. this is one of the possible licensing models from CGDI. You can every day calc two free passwords for 180 days. After that, you have to pay 60 usd to activate the device for another 180 days. You can also buy token individually, they cost 4 usd.
