    Same key, same car w211

Usb connected, 12v connected read key via infra ok
usb connected, obd connected read key via infra ok
Usb connected, read eis ok, collect data, 11.94V detected, 1th step ok, second step read: key via infra. No key or loose key or something similar
after that usb still connected, obd still connected, read key, "pls connect 12v" (??????) okay 12v connected too, nothing, again "pls connect 12v"

    Eveything disconnected sw restarted, again:
    Key reading working fine.

Same like before except 12v connected too direct from the car battery with the same result.

Basically the key reading/detecting working fine except under data collecting

    any idea?
    thx
Got it. It was a really early keyless key and it seems CGDI not handling properly. Unfortunately the result is strange behavior not clear error messages.
Sir, are you classified as human? Negative, I am a meat popsicle

I programmed my first ever Mercedes Benz Key with this tool and for someone that doesn't have any experience Mercedes just bunch of reading here on the forum it was very easy and thanks to the videos and the info Ive found here. I think I undersold the job at $300 it was a w164 2006 I had to remove zgw myself too since I didn't have emulator and it was a pia I also supplied the key and obviously went to the location of the vehicle. So I'm wondering if $300 was too cheap for this job.

    What do you guys think?

We everyone working in different regions, have different competitors, different working conditions, different money invested in the tools so we cannot speak about prices on forum if this or this price is OK. You did the job and that's most important. If you feel 300usd is a little bit less than you'd like to , then next time you will raise your price. For the first time I think most of us set a little bit lower price for such things as you don't have experience. Everyone learned at some point and what is most important for customer? Of course price. Don't be too cheap to your competitors, don't be overpriced and everyone will be happy.

Yea thats the reason why I feel I charged the customer cheap because I had no experience. Thanks for your input.

$300 he had a key that stopped working and I was able to use that key to retrieve the password. it was very fast, I was surprised at first I thought I must be doing something wrong because this is just way too fast. I did all the work on removing the modules and diagnosing the issue. I have another customer with a 2006 c320 with ignition problems I'm charging him $450 to do the job I think I'm satisfied with what I'm getting since these are wholesale customers and always pushing work my way. I can't be too greedy.

BTW I'm stuck with this ezs cloning. on the ezs it's a w209 off the 2006 c230 I just came back from the junkyard to see if I could find an ezs with the zgw off the same car but I could not find the zgw on any of the 5 cars I checked. Is there an zgw on these cars or did I just look in the wrong spot? if there isn't one how can I read this on bench without zgw?
