Icloud password recovery/reset

Hi guys how is it going?
I'm a mechanic and I made deal with a mate who wants to give me one of his used iPhone 6plus
But the problem here is he's forgotten his IClouds password and security questions.He has 2 iPhone 6 plus
Registered with one account.Is there any way to recover or reset the password??He tried calling Apple helpline
But couldn't do anything because of his limited English speaking ability.

Any suggestion/advise highly appreciated

Yeah, I don't think so, other ppl read these forums..

May I ask why don't you do a factory data reset on your iPhone then create a new iCloud account? I'm sure your friend wouldn't want you both sharing the same iCloud account... as both of your data would consistently sync?

Hes asking to recover so he doesnt know the password, and even if he reset the phone icloud will ask the old email and password so its usless i would say trash your phone becausae if the icloud is forgotten means iphone doesnt work anymore sure depending the IOS version
