Search the forum Silverado or GMT800 you'll find what you need!

Searched.
found that mosfet or transformer might be bad. But which one ?
And idisplay might not be getting power. But what needs to be fixed to get power to display ?
Also found that most just replaced the entire cluster. And that's what I usually do, but other guys know how to fix this instead of replacing the whole cluster.

For starters, power up the bad one and a good one and do voltage tests to compare, like we all did when learning. Read up on MOSFETs, specifically n-channel, yes they are used in the early ones as well. The transformers rarely fail, but your problem is most likely in the same area which is the DC to AC converter circuit.
Please DO NOT PM me asking for help.
Post in the forum, that is what it is here for.

None of which i've done yet besides mosfet testing NPN
heres another hint NPN = Negative Postive Negative
and for the noobs and slower guys like myself heres a easy
way to understand circuit components.
We'll use plumbing and water flow to understand
Resistor is pretty much like a flow regulator/larger pipe into a smaller one
Diode is basicly a check valve
Mosfet is a type of Transistor which in turn is another kind of diode think of a tee with a ball valve and check valve on each of 2 outlets

resoldering resistors should fix odometer display also. Have done many and it worked. Just did one few days ago.
Never had one of these that needed anything else other than resolder resistors. Also keep in mind once you remove needles you'll probably break some stepper motors.
When I open these I always replace all stepers and bulbs...
