Kess communication with Bosch ME2.1

Hi all, maybe you can help me,
I tried to read out the ECU from my Alfa GTV 3l 1998. It has OBD 1 (same connector)
I want to try to remap this ECU so that I dont need to go for an aftermarket ECU.

In the Kess V2 I found that I can read Alfa GTVs from 1997, mine is 1998.
I connectet it to the battery charger.
So far so good, I could read the info, but when I start reading the ECU it stoppes at 0%. At reading state it showed 11.98V (even fully loaded and while charging)

Just for you to know it's totally race oriented and so I have a very strong but tiny and light Odissey Racing battery.

Could the battery be the problem, or is it just impossible to read this ecu thorugh the OBD port? (again, info seamed possible to read)

in the attachement some car information from a brand specific tool, which could help to identify the problem.
