Question to professionals,

When i read bmw edc17cp02/6 with obd (read 100%) and remap the file with Winols, i can't write the file on every bmw edc17.
I receive error from Fgtech (Don't switch ingnition off and write ori file)

With kess V2 i dont receive this message (write completed) and car doesn't start. I cant write back ori with obd, must write all with tricore and car does start back.
So what i know, this is protected for anti chiptuning, and best is to do with tricore.

Now the strange situation is: When i remap the file with ecm titanium, i can write with obd and car starts, i don't receive this error.

Who can explain this?

It might be a checksum problem, do you allow OLS to calculate checksum? Try to disable the checksum calculation on WINOLS and try to write the file and see what happens.

I've experienced this in some cars.

So the question, bmw 118d 2008 edc17cp02 read with obd, modded with winols, when write 100% i receive that warning message (tprot anti tuning use tricore)
With ecm titanium is this done and ok.

Is this also possible for cars from year 2011? Of always tricore?

this name is " otp " when you not have otp car star to tune for all software.....

Yes cracked, but i have tomorrow bmw 320d from 2010 edc17cp02
I don't like open ecu, so must be in tricore

When i am sure to do over obd, i will try it.

software numbers 10375 and above are bench jobs only , below that will program port

From my expierece: BMW EDC17 lot flasher not like!!! and in boot mode to!! there problem is in CK! I when work with c02 not use ck!! i give to fgtech to do by self!( boot mode).
OBD i not use for that ecus cant answer about that correct.

I normally play on safe side, no checksum with program, I let the tools do the checksum and I normally do all edc17 via boot, just to avoid surprises.
