    Hello,

my father bought a used radio for his old Defender, of course it had to be the original one. Now he is missing the code to unlock it.

Does anyone have an idea, it would give him great pleasure.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

Thanks for the quick response! But the code doesn't work. The radio displays ERROR, any other ideas?

Please note that code entry is only possible when "CDE 0000" is shown in the display. If the display continually shows "SAFE" then the unit may be codelocked and will need to be left switched on up for up to two hours to reset before another code entry attempt is possible.
    Code Entry as Follows:

Switch Radio On - Display Shows
    " CDE 0000 "
    Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit
    Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit
    Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit
    Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th Digit
If the correct code number is now shown
    Press preset " 5 " to Enter

You're trying the code in the car, aren't you?

Another thing I remember is you to do it the right way! Take a look at the link, read the eeprom and upload what you read here for the correct code! http://codedradio.info/?i=bn&st=ME-6H3303LR-03

I don't have the equipment to read an eeprom right now.. I come back to this. How do you calculate the code from the serial number?
