Hi All, My friend has this same GSR600 dash unit. He has 7100 actual miles on the bike but was involved in an accident and the replacement cluster reads 14416 miles. We've had a look at the PCB and can see the EEPROM is a chip with the model S93C56 BD (Same chip as above I believe). What sort of programmer will we need to read and write from this IC? We found a few data sheets and they suggest the pins are CS SK DI and DO. Guessing this is SPI? What programmers do you all use for IC's like this?

    Thank you!

Take the c56 off the board, and any programmer should be able to read this eeprom
Aaahh ! I love the smell of Eeprom in the morning...

    Thank you Johnner!

    I'll give that a go!
Sorry about all of the questions... But do you know anything about using an Arduino board or an FTDI USB as a programmer - equally I've found a programmer with a CH341A chip, do you know if this will work?
